This change of name is linked to the agreement between BNP Paribas Assurance and Shinhan Financial Group signed in April 2009,
under the term of which BNP Paribas Assurance has increased its equity interest in SH&C Life Insurance from 50% to 85%.
Settled in South Korea since 2002, BNP Paribas distributes its products through partnerships with 5 commercial banks including Shinhan Financial Group (nearly 1000 branches), Standard Chartered and Citi Bank.
