A representative office was opened in 2005.

Cardif obtained a license and established VCLI, a joint venture between Vietcombank and SeAbank, in 2009.
In lauching this new business, Cardif is drawing on Cardif's 35 years of experience in bancassurance in 41 countries.
VCLI will market its savings and protection products via the branch network of Vietcombank, the leading commercial bank in Vietnam, as well as SeAbank, one of the biggest Vietnamese commercial joint stock bank.
